Rhydderch Hael
Rhydderch Hael was a famous king from the early 7th century. He ruled Alt Clut a region thats now part of Scotland but back then was its own distinct kingdom with a Brittonic (similar to Welsh) culture.
I’ve drawn him here with the sword he was said to have wielded, Dyrnwyn (White-hilt) which was one of the 13 legendary treasures of Britain.
More information about the kingdom he ruled can be found here

I’ve felt bad that the current Malky Dungeon storyline has been pretty male dominated so far, been doing some concept art for witches so hopefully they’ll make an appearance at some point!

Hey its been a while since I’ve uploaded anything, I’ve been away in Sweden for a bit then had a bit of hassle trying to finish this page but here it is the latest Malky Dungeon!

The painting seen in this page is based off one of my favourites, The Druids bringing in the mistletoe by George Henry and Edward Atkinson Hornel. It can be seen in the Glasgow boys section of Kelvingrove art gallery.

I made a poster for the Govan stones, to mark the return of one of the Hogbacks from the Viking exhibition in London.

Hogbacks were tombstones made by Viking settlers in Strathclyde in the 9-11th centuries.
